Traitor Bikes Out of Business

Do you still own that sturdy quality Traitor bike somewhere in the garage? Is it difficult to find its spare parts online?
It was one of the country’s highly demanded bike line-up brands. But the rumor of traitor bikes out of business is still a mystery to some.
What could have happened that led to the sudden disappearance of the brand? We are still at a crossroads of wonder, to be frank.
About Traitor Bikes
When Kyle Young and Kevin Menard from MTB firm set their goal of making this brand, nothing was impossible. Their aim and the main target was to reach as many loyal customers as possible via highly valued steel bikes.
These bikes would be eye-catching and have the exceptional style to discern them from other brands. They were successful in their mission sooner than expected.
Thanks to their dedication and personal interaction toward customization in factories, the new company set out to soar high in Seattle, WA.
How We Were Impressed by Traitor?
From 2010 to 2016, their product line-up was of next-level quality. At first, the brand was limited to the craftsmanship of factory capabilities.
Still, the Traitor bikes were one of the top-selling names often heard in markets. Later, switching to a new factory led the owners to work on their latest projects.
They wanted to make the customers feel a part of the brand. Therefore, custom bikes based on consumer demands opened up, and there were tons of requests!
This growth in demand allowed Traitor not to make any sacrifices in the quality of the components and steel frame. Such consistency in production and transparency about their intention set them apart.
Some Notable Traitor Bike Ranges
Six Traitor bike ranges had the best run with the customers due to their superb build and design.
- Ringleader: It is a fixed bike – the traditional model of the brand.
- Luggernaut: Offers comfortable geometry with braze-ons and versatile singlespeed.
- Ruben: Its transmission delivers nine-speed variations. The name was given after the brand’s shop dog.
- Exile: This bike comprises lugged steel road iron with a beautifully straight blade fork. Its crusade singlespeed cross bike is suitable for rough terrains.
- Streetfighter: The bike has a 650BMX – a resilient urban design with 650B wheels.
So, What Happened to Traitor?
Unfortunately, 2016 was the last time the Traitor bikes had their final moments. It began advertising large sales on its remaining bicycle models and slowly snuffed out of the picture.
The occurrence barely made any noise, after which the company was permanently shut down, removing their official online page as well.
Admittedly, it is no Schwinn in comparison. However, the abrupt closing has saddened many dedicated customers who looked forward to newer bike line-ups.

Final Words
We miss you! Indeed, the brand is no longer in the market. It is still unclear what went wrong to prompt traitor bikes out of business.
We want the owners to know that most of us are still going strong with the Traitor bikes purchased several years back. Each model came with stylized features. This made each an excellent choice for both commuters and cyclocross racers.
We hope for your return!
